Anybody Can Play The Drums (2015)
I’ve included this video to represent my work as the leader of the musical group Harvey Eyeballs active in Brooklyn, NY from about 2011 to 2017. Working as Harvey Eyeballs enabled me to experience all aspects of running an independent music outfit: writing music, singing, managing talent, recording, mixing, directing music videos, booking shows, releasing records, promoting, and more.
Harvey Eyeballs experiments with the sometimes limiting confines of Rock & Roll and Pop by bending genres and playing with expectations, holding a mirror up to the absurdity of it all, which is what I believe any worthwhile work of art should do.
I hope to include the fun, irreverence, and inclusivity of Harvey Eyeballs into my practice moving forward.
